It is critical that once you've seen an issue with the foundation or crawl space that you reach out to a trusted repair company. It doesn't matter if you require our foundation repair products to stop foundation issues, or crawl space services to control humidity below the home, our professionals are here to help you.
Crawl Space Solutions
In Tasley, many of the homes were built with crawl spaces and not basements. For many years, these were created with open vents to the outside where were intended to help fresh air flow through the area and keep it dry. Unfortunately, this is rarely what happens. The vents allow water to get in during rain and snow storms and the vents prevent proper evaporation which causes the humidity levels to stay high which can facilitate the growth of mildew. Up to ½ of the air in your home enters through the crawl space so having the space protected from the weather and keeping the humidity levels low will improve the overall air quality in your home.
We have been encapsulating crawl spaces as long as we have been in business and we know the proper way to seal them off and control excess humidity. We do this using a method called encapsulation which is the installation of a heavy duty liner, occasionally installed with insulation products, which are thick plastic and vinyl sheeting as well as vent covers and a heavy duty door that will close off the area totally and prevent any unwanted moisture from entering. Closing the area will also prevent rodents and animals from settling in the crawl space which will help keep any equipment there safe and allow you to use it for storage. Once the crawl space is encapsulated, if you need it we will install a series of sagging floor jacks to stabilize sinking floors in your home.
Structural Foundation Repair
Your homes foundation is quite possibly one of, if not the, most important areas of the home. It not only supports the building itself but it also forms the basement walls. If there are foundation problems, usually, they will present themselves as stair stepping cracks in the outside brickwork, long cracks that run the length of the foundation or across the basement walls. Sometimes, you will see that the windows or doors will not open or close easily or there may be cracks at the corners of them. You may not think these issues seem critical when you notice them, each of them are indicative of a sinking or settling foundation which should be looked at by a professional for specific problems to determine if a repair needs to be performed.
It is good that many foundation problems stem from similar issues and our experts are very good at spotting those problems. We can offer a repair product intended for your exact issue to permanently repair and stabilize the foundation. If you've got a sloping foundation, we will install a series of foundation piers to stabilize the foundation. We will install either push piers or helical piers, depending on where and how bad the sinking is. Both types of piers are very strong and are able to stabilize your foundation.
