In our area, there are many homes that are built with crawl spaces and not basements. For many years, they were created with vents to the outside where were intended to help fresh air flow into the area and keep it dry. Unfortunately, this is rarely what happens. This is done using a process known as encapsulation which is the installation of a heavy duty liner, sometimes accompanied by insulation products, and are strong plastic and vinyl sheets as well as covers to close off existing vents and a sturdy door that can close off the area totally and prevent any unwanted moisture from entering. Closing the area will also prevent pests and animals from moving in the crawl space which will keep any equipment there safe and allow you to use it for storage. Structural Foundation Repair
