Crawl Space Solutions
In the greater Virginia Beach area, many of the homes were built with crawl space areas and not basements. As long as there have been crawl spaces, they were constructed with vents to the outside where were intended to help fresh air flow into the space and keep it dry. Unfortunately, this is rarely what happens. We do this using a method known as encapsulation which is the installation of a series of vapor barriers, sometimes accompanied by insulation products, and are thick plastic and vinyl sheets as well as covers to close off existing vents and a sturdy door that will seal the area completely and prevent any excess moisture from entering. Encapsulation will also prevent critters and animals from settling in the crawl space which will keep any equipment there safe and allow you to use it for storage.
