Crawl Space Solutions
In Rescue, many of the homes were built with crawl spaces instead of basements. For many years, these were created with open vents to the outside where were intended to help fresh air flow into the space and keep it dry. Unfortunately, the opposite is usually what happens. The vents allow water to get in when it rains or snows and the vents prevent proper evaporation which causes the humidity levels to stay high which will eventually harbor the growth of mildew. We do this using a method called encapsulation which is the installation of a thick liner or vapor barrier, sometimes accompanied by insulation products, which are strong plastic and vinyl sheeting as well as vent covers and a sturdy door that can close off the area completely and prevent any unwanted moisture from entering. Encapsulation will also prevent critters and animals from settling in your crawl space which will help keep any appliances there safe and allow you to use it for storage. Structural Foundation Repair
Your homes foundation is easily one of the most important parts. It not only supports the building itself but it also forms the basement walls.
