Crawl Space Solutions

In our area, there are many homes that are built with crawl spaces and not basements. As long as there have been crawl spaces, they were created with open vents to the outside where were intended to help fresh air flow into the space and keep it dry. Unfortunately, this is rarely what happens. This is done using a process known as encapsulation which is the installation of a series of vapor barriers, sometimes accompanied by insulation products, and are thick plastic and vinyl sheeting as well as covers to close off existing vents and a heavy duty door that can seal the area completely and prevent any excess moisture from entering. This will also prevent rodents and animals from moving in the crawl space which will keep any appliances there safe and allow you to use it for storage. After the crawl space is protected, if necessary we can install a series of floor jacks to lift sinking floors above the crawl space.
