Crawl Space Solutions

In our area, there are many homes that were built with crawl spaces instead of basements. As long as there have been crawl spaces, they were created with vents which was intended to increase air flow into the area and keep it dry. Unfortunately, this is rarely what happens. Having open vents allows water to get in during rain and snow storms and the vents hinder airflow which results in the humidity level staying too high which can foster the growth of mildew. Studies have shown that up to half of the air in your home has come up through the crawl space so ensuring the crawl space is closed off from the weather and keeping the humidity levels low will improve the overall air quality in your home.
We have been working on crawl spaces since we opened our doors and we know the best way to seal them off and control high humidity. This is done using a process called encapsulation which is the installation of a thick liner or vapor barrier, sometimes accompanied by insulation products, which are heavy duty plastic and vinyl sheets as well as vent covers and a heavy duty door that will seal the area totally and prevent any unwanted moisture from entering. Closing the area will also prevent critters and animals from getting in the crawl space which will help keep any appliances there safe and allow you to use it for storage. After your crawl space is closed off, if you need it we will install a series of floor jacks to stabilize sagging floors above the crawl space.
Structural Foundation Repair

The foundation of your home is quite possibly one of, if not the, most important areas of the home. It not only supports the home itself but it also forms the basement walls. If you've got foundation problems, usually, they will show themselves in the form of diagonal cracks in your brickwork, long cracks that run the length of the foundation or along the basement walls. You may also notice that your doors will get stuck or even cracks at the corners of them. You may not think these problems seem serious at first, each of them are indicators of a sinking or settling foundation and they should be evaluated by an expert for particular problems and determine what type of a repair needs to be installed.
Thankfully, many foundation problems stem from similar issues and our team is very good at tracking down those issues. We can implement a repair product that is for your specific problem to permanently repair and stabilize the foundation or walls. If there is a sloping foundation, we will install a series of foundation piers to correct the problem. We will install either push piers or helical piers, depending on where and how bad the sinking is. Both are very strong and can help stabilize your foundation.
