In our area, many of the homes are built with crawl space areas and not basements. This is done using a process known as encapsulation which is the installation of a heavy duty liner, occasionally installed with insulation products, and are heavy duty plastic and vinyl sheets as well as covers to close off existing vents and a sturdy door that will seal the area totally and stop any excess moisture from entering. Encapsulation will also stop critters and animals from moving in the crawl space which will help keep any appliances there safe and allow you to use it for storage. Once the crawl space is encapsulated, if necessary we will install a series of floor jacks to lift sinking floors above the crawl space.
